Snippets Grooming was established in 2003 through my love of dogs. I own three bichon frise girls, a mother and
her 2 daughters, so I love grooming them too!
It all began in a converted garage which my husband and brother patiently adapted and quickly grew to our salon in Shettleston. Now, 5 years later we are on the move again (last time, I promise) to bigger and better premises in Garrowhill, just at Thornbridge Road roundabout.
I take this opportunity in thanking my husband, John and my brother, Stuart for all their help, again and again and again!!!
Over the last five years we have met some wonderful clients both of the four legged type and the two legged type! Clients travel to see us from all over Glasgow and from as far as Stirling, Arrochar and beyond!
But what makes us so different?
We choose not to use cages - not for drying in - not for sitting your pet in - not for anything!
ALL our friends are HAND dried it's that simple! Oh, and apart from the constant one to one attention and the wonderful groomers and the fact that we try to only keep your friend for 1½ hours and that we don't have more than 3 dogs in the salon at a time (all with a dedicated member of staff with them at all times) what more could they want!!
We at Snippets Grooming are truely dedicated to giving you complete peace of mind when you leave your pet in our care. We are dog owners and lovers too and understand how important your pet is to you! Many of our clients are actually dragged in off the street (that's by the dog, by the way) because they know what awaits them at the other side of the door. Believe me when I say that not all our friends are this keen! Through time and patience of dog and groomer, trust is slowly earned which usually brings a tear to my eye and those scared/timid wee guys fall in love with us too!
We hope to be in our new salon by the end of May and look forward greatly to welcoming past and new clients! We will also have a 'wet room' dedicated to all those BIG guys who find it hard to be accepted for a bath!!
I am currently studying for a diploma in Dog Psychology too - so all you naughties out there - beware - I WILL WIN!!!!!
Hope to see you soon,
Lindsay Campbell
